Konoha is a modern assassin but knows how to handle balanced edge weapons like kunai.

Assassin Konoha saw what she thought was a dead ninja body and kicked it, as one does. But the “dead” ninja, Satoko, immediately complained and begged for food. The accidentally rogue ninja needed help, but she picked the wrong person for charity.

Remember, Satoko is a rogue ninja, so ninja hunters from her village are constantly targeting the ones loose in Konoha’s town. Fumiko met a quick end from her weapon after Konoha used it against her. Then Satoko showed the ninjutsu she’s famous for: turning evidence into dead leaves! Konoha immediately asked Satoko to work for her as a cleaner.

Satoko explained how she only excelled at that one ninjutsu and dodging attacks, so the village assigned her to household chores. After another ninja hunter, Michiru, met the same fate at Konoha’s hands as Fumiko, Satoko made her body and a bloody kunai disappear in a puff of dried leaves. Konoha proposed marriage!

Konoha’s cover for her assassin duties is a high school girl, but Konoha has no time to cook and clean for herself. She claims. But Konoha also explained how assassins have rankings based on how well they complete missions and evidence disposal. Konoha hasn’t risen in the assassin ranks because she’s too messy, which was also true of her apartment. Satoko can be Konoha’s housewife! That puts all kinds of suggestive ideas inside Konoha’s schoolmate, Yoshida. Such a dirty mind!

Shaft, the animation studio famous for head tilts and long streams of absurdist dialogue, shows the ninja girls who may or may not survive meeting Konoha.

Each episode of NinKoro has an omake epilogue. Konoha’s loungewear reminds me of all those glasses-wearing neighbors who hide perverted slutty sides in ero manga. Yoshida knows the story!
